UK Halsey team - supports Broad Reach

Every sailor knows that the power of your sailboat lies in the sails.                                

 When you have older boats and older sails this can be a real challenge.  When you only  have one sail and it rips then it's really important to be able to get it repaired quickly and  get it back on the boat so we can continue to offer our programs.

 This season Michael Mountford, a fellow sailor and  member at the RCYC kindly donated some sails.  After Brian and his team worked their magic, these newly re- fashioned sails replaced our tattered and torn sails and restored the power to our boats.  

 Fortunately for the Broad Reach fleet we have the generous support of the local sailmakers' community and we'd especially like to thank Brian Chapman and his team - Donna and now Tristan, at UK Halsey.  Always eager to help and give professional advice about what will work and what won't the team help to keep us sailing with refurbished, remodeled and repaired sails.  Thanks again for all your support!
