Explore the intended and unintended impacts of the trade economy such as the access to new/useful resources, the change in lifestyle of Indigenous peoples, and exposure to disease. Then, consider the legacy of the fur trade on Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples today. Time will be allocated for student discussion and questions.
