WILD Education is a range of workshops focused on conservation of wildlife and the environment including lakes, rivers and oceans, and adaptable for a wide range of participants. Aimed at both school teachers, informal educators (i.e. sports instructors) and community leaders including youth, WILD Education is a professional development program leading to Project Wild and Environmental Resources Instructor certification.
The Canadian Wildlife Federation and Nautical Youth Toronto* presents
Project WILD and Environmental Resources Workshop
for teachers, water sport instructors and youth leaders
Date: Saturday 14th June 2014, 0900 – 1500
Location: Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club
(foot of Coxwell Avenue, west end of the boardwalk, 30 Ashbridge’s Bay Park Rd., Toronto)
Cost: $45 (payable to the Canadian Wildlife Federation)
WILD Education workshop includes:
- Six hours of practical, hands-on, mostly outdoors activities
- A complimentary Instructor’s Manual
- Access to diverse supplementary CWF education resources
- A Project Wild and Environmental Resources Instructor certification
The Environmental Resource Manual for Water Sports, forms part of a list of tools available to instructors and youth leaders.
We will provide an opportunity to network with other instructors and clubs who are already using these tools. You will discover a wealth of additional resources, ideas and activities to help young people understand the links between wildlife and nature on the water.
*Nautical Youth Toronto is a collaboration of agencies mandated to advance youth development and leadership by means of nautical recreation, sports, skills and sail training.
