National Youth Leadership Council
Broad Reach believes that initiatives designed to benefit youth have to be informed by youth.
Young people are at an important stage in life when building skills, learning to make good choices, and practicing civic engagement is essential to reduce poverty, live better and more fulfilling lives, and contribute to global sustainability and democratic society.
This is why Broad Reach established the National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC), a group of dedicated young people who believe in our Mission and are directly engaged to ensure that we are truly a youth-centric organization. From program design to operations and volunteer initiatives, the youth’s voices help steer our decision-making process.
NYLC is a safe space for youth who value leadership, community connections, equity and equal access, to guide meaningful program initiatives that have positive, real life impacts on youth in Canada.
