Located on the tip of Strawberry Island off the North coast of Manitoulin Island, Strawberry Island Lighthouse is a historical landmark best seen from the water. First lit in 1881, the lighthouse has since acted as a marker and aid to navigation for the narrow entrance to the North Channel. In 2006, the picturesque lighthouse was declared a Recognized Federal Heritage Building due to its historical importance to the surrounding communities as well as it’s architectural style.
