Broad Reach Foundation on Global News Hour - Monday 14th June.

Susan Hay and her team filmed a wonderful segment for Making A Difference and everyone who participated had great fun sailing. Thanks to everyone involved on the day. Check out the video clip here:

Thanks to George Socka at BeachDigital for kindly formatting the film for our website and to Amir at Robin Hood Technology for getting it posted on our site.

Founded in 1999, the Broad Reach Foundation has been the largest on water program for at-risk/disadvantaged youth in Canada that combines life skills development, leadership building, and sailing.  Broad Reach works with over 200 youth yearly between the ages of 12 and 24. They come from a variety of economic and socially challenging environments such as homeless shelters, low income and new Canadian neighbourhoods, young offender programs, and street youth drop-in centres. Most of these youth have no opportunity to participate in on-water recreational and skills developing activities. To that end, Broad Reach believes that economics should never be a barrier to participation and provides all its programs free of charge.
